Keto and Healthy Living ( CAN YOU GO ONE DAY WITHOUT ANY SUGAR) by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

WELCOME TO MY BLOG ABOUT KETO AND HEALTHY LIVING

Today I am putting a CHALLENGE  out there to anyone who reads this blog CAN YOU GO ONE DAY WITHOUT SUGAR?

Thanks for joining my Keto and Healthy Living blogs they are a way for me to help you live a happier and healthier life through either going into a Keto Lifestyle like my wife and I or changing your eating habits to a Healthier Lifestyle. Nearly two years ago my wife and I completely changed our lives just through going Keto. To date together we lost 150 pounds and Annie my wife is no longer diabetic or on any medications. I decided a while back ago to blog our story so that you could learn the way to a happier and healthier you is just  by eating the foods we love. What you eat will have a effect on you health and happiness.

I am not going into a lot of facts and research in this blog but did you know only twenty percent  of items sold in a supermarket, food store  do not contain any sugar.  Even some fruits and veggies have a hidden sugar called fructose. Though this is considered a natural sugar and it does aide in the fight against CANCER and provides the human body with nutrients that keep the body healthy.

DOING A KETO LIFESTYLE OR IF YOUR DOING HEALTHY LIVING YOU CAN EAT THESE FRUITS AND VEGGIES:

Avocados, Watermelon, Strawberries, Lemons ( great for Lemon Water), Tomatoes, Raspberries, Peaches, Cantaloupe, Star Fruit, Blackberries, Rhubarb, Blueberries

So to start your day or snack to complete my challenge these foods are okay because they are natural sugar and good for you.

I love a good shake made with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, mixed with Half and Half cream or Heavy Whipping cream though Half and Half does have One gram of sugar in it so for my challenge we will have to skip the shake and just eat the berries.

Does it seem the CHALLENGE IS GETTING A BIT HARDER?

To complete my challenge we need foods with no sugar and good fats so I suggest SMOKED SALMON!

Salmon is on the KETO LIFESTLYE top hit list as a healthy foods because it has a lot of benefits, and most Smoked Salmon has NO SUGAR. You must avoid Smoked Salmon that has added sugars however make sure you read the ingredient package and it says SUGAR ZERO!

So here is an example of our day so far:

Breakfast: Watermelon and Strawberries

Lunch: Smoked Salmon and Avocado slices

We have managed to get to lunch with no unnatural sugar!

PS MAKE SURE YOU DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!

Dinner time and snacks if needed can be a bit tricky as well.

For dinner there are a multiple choices all most all meats fit into the Keto Lifestyle and Healthy Living.

You have to watch the seasonings, dressings, and sauces you use with the meats to cook them with to make sure they have no added sugar.

For dinner you could have Chicken, Pork, Beef, Lamb, Buffalo, Deer, or other meats. You could add broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, and some other veggies or create an awesome salad to go with your dinner.

Snacks: Today try to eat nuts with NO SUGAR, you can eat Cashews, Pecans, Walnuts, and some other nuts but NO PEANUTS!

IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR YOU ACTUALLY MADE IT A DAY WITH NO SUGAR HOW DO YOU FEEL?

I am going to be strait with you it is really difficult to go everyday with out NO SUGAR!

There are a lot of ways to reduce your sugar intake however one thing we have noticed in our change into a  KETO LIFESTYLE is to read the ingredients and look at SUGAR CALORIES AND CARBS.

WHY THE SERVING SIZE MATTERS:

Also you have to look at serving sizes though foods list the Sugar, Carbs, and Calories many foods have multiple servings in a package. So an example if a package says the food has 10% sugar per serving but there is lets say 5 servings in that package you would have to multiply that sugar by how many ever servings. Many people see that the sugar carbs and calories may be low in a food product but than the product has several servings and if you eat the entire food product you have increased the sugar, carbs, and calories by that many servings.  Here is a photo of a package just for you to see.

In this example of a popular candy you can see the difference 1 serving has 140 calories but the entire box has 3 servings and is 420 calories, and the sugar listed also has added sugar listed 1 serving is 19 grams but a total of 36% for 1 serving and the entire 3 servings are 106%.

On Keto you are limited to Carbs and Sugar intake of 50 grams per day.

If you doing Healthy Living it is recommended not to exceed 100 grams per day for men and 150 grams per day for women, this breaks down to 6 teaspoons or 24 grams per day.

To keep up your healthy lifestyle you will need to keep track of your sugar, calorie and carb intake even if your living a Keto Lifestyle you should do this.

GOOD LUCK ON MY CHALLENGE LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!
