What is JUSTBID ?
It is an ONLINE AUCTION HOUSE.
How does it work?
You can sign up online or there also is an APP you can find in PLAYSTORE.
You must enter some information and have a way to pay for the merchandise you buy. After that you can scroll through the web page or app and bid on items.
To pick up your items you do need the app and you will need to go pickup at the warehouse located in Springfield at 2965 E Jean Street.
The hours for pick ups are listed on the web page.
Once you get to the location, you go into the doors and find the desk. You will scan a barcode at the desk and staff will bring your items to you. I waited for about 15 minutes.
I recently signed up and won 2 items,
Upon winning the items on the invoice there were some other charges added to my bid.
So the first item I won was $6 but they added these fees:
One called a Lot Fee of $2 , and an Auction Premium Fee that is 15% that also added up to .90 cents, so that added up to $8.90. With sales tax of .72 cents the total was $9.62
The second item I won was $3, again the fees got added to my bid making the total $5.45 before sales tax and $5.89 after.
HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS:
My first question has to do with how long each auction lasts?
There is nothing on the web page that talks about this. There is a section that tells you when the auction ends. You can find it on the top left hand corner where the item is listed.
My second question is what price do the items start at?
I see items starting at $1 so I assume this is the starting price on all items. However again there is no information on the web page that discusses this.
How to bid on items and concerns over automatic bidding or the company up-biding:
I have bid on several items and within seconds the price raised, or I was outbid. I would expect this to happen however who is stopping the company from raising the bids.
Is it the people bidding or is it something else?
It is pretty easy to bid on an item just click the bid box that has the current bid amount listed in the box.
There is no proof or evidence however that the prices are being bid up by other people or that the company is up-bidding items. It would be interesting to learn how this is regulated.
Are the purchases AS IS or do they have a warranty or return policy:
There is no information that I found on the web page that answers these questions.
I will tell you about my purchase: Some of the bolts had been missing and I had to go to a hardware store and I spent almost $50 to get the bolts, nuts, and washers I needed to put it together.
Overall I had a good experience with the company. It was easy to sign up on the app, and I also have it on my laptop. I feel the app is a little harder to navigate on my phone, I like the web page on my lab top better.
I would have liked to have had knowledge of the extra fees, and I would like some of the questions answered above. I plan to keep checking it out however.
So my review on it is GIVE IT A TRY!
