Keto and Healthy Living (FAST FOOD and EATING OUT) by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik


                                       Is there a way to eat healthy at FAST FOOD Places ?

Face it we are busy people and making all you meals at home, or taking meals or snacks to your job may not always be possible. Our lives involve a lot of things, employment, kids, family, pets and sometimes we can not make good healthy meals and snacks. Part of my goal I set for my blogs was to educate myself and learn better ways of eating so I can keep living a happy healthy life. I am sharing my personal experiences and what I am learning so I can pass the information on to you so you can live a happy healthy life through eating better.

Since my wife Annie and I do Keto we rarely ever go to a Fast Food Place and rarely go out to a dinner or a restaurant. However two years ago it was a different story and I understand the need for Fast Food or going out. 

So there is good news some people call it DIRTY KETO.

DIRTY KETO allows highly processed foods and packaged foods. So here is the thing even DIRTY KETO still requires you to minimize both your carb and sugar intake to stay in Ketosis. 

However it does allow some room for FAST FOOD and eating out at restaurants. If your not doing Keto and just want better health you can also follow some or all of these guidelines for FAST FOOD and eating out.

I found two FAST FOOD PLACES that seem to be KETO FRIENDLY one is QUDOBA, and the other is CHIPOLTE. If you are on Keto you can get a bowl at both places with meat and veggies, cheese, sour cream, and avocado, along with lettuce. Recently both places added Cali-flower Rice as well. Meats are grilled and there is no deep frying. 

These two hit my radar recently looking for Keto friendly restaurants.

You can go to many FAST FOOD PLACES and get a burger or grilled chicken sandwich wrapped in lettuce. You need to avoid french fries, buns, and soda instead opt for a salad and unsweetened ice tea.

Chick Fa La has grilled chicken nuggets, and Dairy Queen just added chicken rotisserie bites.

When going to fast food avoid fried foods, try to get grilled or baked meats.

I have not found any fast food places that offer grilled or baked fish.

If your going out to eat ask the restaurant if they have any Keto meals. 

Many restaurants are offering Keto these days. 

If your are on Keto or not you should avoid deep fried foods, and try to get food baked or grilled.  

Keep track of your carbs and sugar intake and ask questions on how your food is prepared at restaurants.

Answering the question can you eat healthy at FAST FOOD or EATING OUT?

It is much better to cook foods yourself at home, and find foods that fit into your health goals. This will go a long ways to happier and healthier life.  You can remain healthy and happy going to fast food places or eating out but you will need to balance your health goals to stay healthy and happy.

If your doing Keto you can stay in Ketosis doing Fast Food or Eating Out.

Fast Food and eating out may not the best option for a happy healthy life but if you find yourself going to Fast Food or eating out all you have to do is not go overboard. 

Stay with your health goals.
