How to wager the MLB Playoffs and World Series
So I am giving a short lesson on how to wager on the MLB playoffs and World Series.
The Playoffs are the best out of 5 games between the teams that make it to the Playoffs.
The World Series is the best of 7 games between the two teams that make the World Series.
So there are several wagers NEVADA Sports Books Offer and here they are:
Wager each Game: You can wager each game a Money Line will be posted by the book for each individual game.
Wager the Over and Under in each Game: A TOTAL as it is called will be posted for the total points the Sports Books predict the teams will score and you can wager if the game will go over or under that score. Totals use a MONEY LINE as well.
Wager the First Five Innings: You can wager who will win just the first five innings in the game and Money Line will be posted by the book for this wager.
Wager the Over or Under for First Five Innings: A Total as it called will be posted just for the first five innings. You can wager Over or Under on this Total.
Wager a RUN LINE for each Game or first five innings: A run line adds 1/1/2 points or takes it away depending on what team you choose. These are money line wagers also but your team has to cover the run line by covering 2 points if you take -1/1/2 or losing by 1 point if you choose the +1/1/2. Run Line.
SERIES WAGERS: Sports books offer wagers on the entire series usually this line changes as the series progresses, It will be a money line as well. Depending on how the series goes the lines can change. So it is possible you can wager the series several times during the series.
LIVE WAGERING: In play or live wagering is offered from several sports books in Nevada. You can wager money lines, and over and under in most live play. There may be other wagers available as well but this is the basic wagers books offer in live play wagering.
LISTING PITCHERS: You can list a particular pitcher for a game just tell the book to list them. You can list one or both. This means that pitcher must throw the first pitch. This is not necessary but it can be done. If that pitcher does not start the wager is refunded.
