The return of the USFL and will it last or will it fold again by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
The USFL does have a contract with Fox sports and has started operations back with the eight teams in the above photo.
The USFL is planning on playing during the off season of the NFL (National Football League).
Here are the same issues for the USFL and my advice on how the league could grow and survive:
The USFL will need viewers on Fox and to sell the seats at live games, and hope merchandise sales and other income sources can pay the bills. I see the same issues as the league had the last time around you have a good product, a good idea but will the fans buy it?
It will all depend on money for the league, can they make enough to pay the players, coaches, rent stadiums, and pay out all the other expenses. I do not see the league doing this unless they offer something the NFL does not offer in the game of football.
The AFL (Arena Football League) was an indoor fast high scoring game that fans loved. However this is another league that closed due to bankruptcy. However fans loved the fast pace and high scoring games.
Today the AFL does have some smaller leagues one called Indoor Football League that has 16 teams.
The USFL could reach out to some of these smaller Arena Football Leagues and incorporate some of the rules and regulations into the USFL. This would change the game a little and offer the fans a different prospective on the game itself.
IF the USFL is going to make it once again and I hope they do they should consider working with some other minor leagues like GRIDIRON DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE.
This is an established league that has 32 teams and could help the USFL league grow faster, establish divisions, make playoffs, and championship games.
This would gain more fans as well!
Only time will tell if the league will have a better run the second time around!
