The Entertainment Wrestling War between WWE & AEW and other Entertainment Companies in 2022 by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)

The WWE started in 1980 and still is the top entertainment company. The WWE currently is on two of the top televison channels USA and FOX. WWE has three branded shows Monday Night Raw, NXT, and Friday Night Smackdown. The WWE also owns a movie production comany called WWE Studios.

In 2021 the WWE made some changes selling part of the company to PEACOCK for Pay Per Views, and other WWE series and documentaries. The company closed what was called the WWE Universe that was service that WWE fans paid $10 per month to watch all the WWE Pay Per Views, series and documentaries. Currently you can suscribe to Peacock and watch the Payper views, WWE series and Documentaries.

The WWE is the only entertainment company on the NYSE under WWE.

At the closing of the NYSE in 2021 the stock was valued around $50 per share.

The entertainers that are part of the WWE have built massive careers and many are well known in the entertainment industry. The company is still operated by Vince Mcmahon, and both of his children Stephanie and Shane have solid roles in the company. However the President of the company currently is Nick Khan.

The WWE for years has been the top leader in the wrestling entertainment business but many smaller companies and independant circuts are starting to emerge.

AEW (All Elite Wrestling)

AEW started in 2019 and is emerging in 2022 as the second top wrestling entertainment company in the industry. The company is owened by Tony Khan and Shaid Khan.

AEW has been building over the past two years.

Currently the company signed a TV deal with TBS. The company recently has attracted entertainers from the WWE. The company is moving in TV ratings and attracting fans making it the first company to possibly compete with the WWE since the WCW ( World Championship Wrestling) closed in 2001.

IMPACT WRESTLING

Impact Wrestling opened in 2002 and is based in Canada. The founder of the company was a former WWE Entertainer named Jeff Jarrett. The company has been operating on AXS TV and Twitch. Currently the company is working with AEW in some manner though the exact nature of the business is unkown.

ROH ( Ring of Honor)

ROH opened in 2002 by Rob Feinstien. Though ROH did have some TV contracts the company offically annouced December 31st 2021 it would be suspending operations of the company.

Some of the entertainers are moving to Impact or AEW.

NWA ( National Wrestling Alliance)

NWA was founded in 1948 and currently operates out of Waterloo, IA and is owned by Lighting One Inc.

It was the top company in the industry until the WWE emerged and took over.

The NWA still operates today however mostly on smaller circuts and independent shows.

The NWA is also working with Impact and the AEW in some manner.

These companies are competing against several smaller and independent companies all over the world.

The industry is as active as it ever has been in the USA and Worldwide.

In 2020 it was reported the entertainment wrestling industry made 974.2 million dollars in the USA, and in 2019 960 million dollars.

There is a war between the WWE and AEW and these smaller companies competing for TV air time, fans, and entertainers. It has attracted the news media and social media in 2021 and going into 2022.
