So what is the next big fight to happen possibly?
The Mayweather vs McGregor was the most advertised and talked about fight in a long while. People all over the world anticipated the fight, wagered on the fight, watched social media, and followed the fight news and updates both on the internet and television. It was talked about on almost every sports show on the radio, there are tons of different blogs about this event on line.
After all the HYPE is faded and the NEWS stops talking I am ASKING WHAT IS NEXT?
Sure we are going into to the NFL regular season and College Football and we all are aware these end up in Championship Games. Than we have March Madness, and the World Series.
However can anything beat this Fight ?
Boxing has been suffering for a long time fewer fight fans and interest as a sport in general for a varied amount of reasons. The MMA sport however has continually grown over the years. So what can and could possibly top this fight and what do fans want to see ?
Currently the next biggest fight possibly could involve one WWE and UFC Fighter named BROCK LESNAR and one UFC fighter named JON JONES.
This is another fight people are saying will not happen but as we saw and witnessed a fight that people said was never going to happen did. Fans of both the WWE and MMA want to see this fight but there are more problems with this fight than the Mayweather vs McGregor fight.
First issue is allegations on both fighters of substance abuse. Lesnar actually was suspended and he would have to pass testing before he would be allowed to fight. Also Lesnar is under contract with WWE up to April 2018. However the WWE has worked with Lesnar in the past.
Recently Jon Jones failed a drug test with the UFC. Jones if found guilty would face up to a 4 year suspension from the MMA fighting world.
However who says this fight has to be sanctioned by the UFC or MMA world we could see this fight happen still if the WWE could work some magic. Imagine if the WWE brought Jones over as a wrestler and we saw this as a main event in Wrestle-Mania.
As we see stranger things have happened in sports the Mayweather and McGregor fight started as a speculation, than people never believed it would happen, and than it did so nothing is totally impossible.
