Coffee, coffee, coffee.......
Don't give it completely up. Although it can spike your blood pressure, it doesn't spike it for long. You probably should change the height of the rush, lower the level of caffeine intake. But Coffee has no carbs. It is the additives such as cream and sugar which have carbs. However, sugar carries the most carbs. So cutting sugar completely, is the best option.

Tea can be drank the same as coffee. Cream is very low in carbs. Especially if you use real cream, almond or coconut milk. There are many enjoyable teas, and ones good for you.

Leafy greens are a huge part of the ketogenic diet. Lettuce wraps are an easy on the go snack, or lunch. For someone who works both at home and outside of the home, packing lettuce wraps filled with meats and cheese instead of bread sandwiches, is easy and tasty. It doesn't have to be all salads for every meal.

Vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, bell peppers and spinach is really good for you. But there are some root vegetables and green vegetables with a lot of water. while they are good for juicing, they are not good for every day.

Some vegetables are too starchy to have, like squash and potatoes. But other vegetables like tomatoes, yellow squash, mushrooms, zucchini, and eggplant can be eaten, just sporadically and not daily.

Nuts, Berries, and Seeds are nutritious snacks. But they need to be limited in diabetics. Dried fruits and berries turn into sugar, so they are not nutrition as natural ones. Nuts that are roasted do not have the same nutritional value as raw ones.

Do not just take my word for this. Actually research this information. What can you do for your body. Speak to your doctor. They may have you see a dietitian. Be aware that no all insurance will cover a dietitian. This is why I say research.
