BIGHORNS FALL TO AUSTIN
CEDAR PARK, TX. —The Reno Bighorns (24-18) fell to the Austin Spurs (28-16) 144-115 Friday night at the H-E-B Center.
David Stockton paced the Bighorns scoring 23 points and adding three assists while Jakarr Sampson had 19 points and eight rebounds. Aaron Harrison tallied 15 points and five rebounds in the Friday night matchup.
Darrick White led the Spurs notching 26 points and six rebounds while Darrun Hilliard had 22 points, four rebounds and three assists.
The Bighorns scored the first points of the game good for their largest lead of the night before being outscored by the Spurs 38-25 in the opening frame. In the first half, Austin outrebounded Reno 27-13 while expanding their lead to 22 points in the first half of play.
Austin continued to dominate coming out of the break, leading by as many as 29 points in the third quarter. The Bighorns would never regain the advantage in the second half, falling 144-115.
The Reno Bighorns will travel to Dr. Pepper Arena to take on the Texas Legends on Saturday, Mar. 10 at 5:30 p.m. PST.
