The future of the WWE by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
WWE stock closed Friday at $46.41 down from a small gain after announcing the deal with Peacock TV.
The WWE Network will be ending in March 18 2021 as the takeover from Peacock goes into effect.
RECENT NEWS FROM THE WWE:
WWE in a recent meeting with the talent and employees of WWE made a notification that they would not receive promotions, raises, or bonuses moving forward
WWE AND FUTURE TV SLOTS:
What no one is mentioning is that NBC could be having an impact on the WWE because NBC recently announced that they are shutting down the NBC Sports Network Cable Station.
This will be happening by the end of 2021.
This means companies like NHL, EPL, and NASCAR will move to the USA Networks.
This would directly have issues with the NXT on Wednesday Nights as the NHL has NHL Wednesday Nights.
So there is already one conflict.
It is also speculating that NASCAR would move from Sunday to Monday Nights possibly.
However USA may not want to give up the RAW on Monday Nights as it has remained one of the highest rated shows on USA for years.
The fact is no one is really talking about what the impact of USA taking on many sports will lead to as far as the WWE and USA.
It is possible the WWE could move the entire operation to FOX, it is possible that you may only find the WWE on Peacock, or it could mean the WWE will air on a different night on USA.
I see a sale still coming of the WWE in my opinion down the road.
