Lets talk SPORTS in our community
When you live in a community or move to a new community it is always fun to find out what is going on around your community. However one of the reasons I started doing semi professional or armature sports was the fact it always amazed me how many people had no idea a team or sport even existed in the community.
Matter of fact it was the whole reason I created my sports companies and invested so much time into the sports. So I wanted to talk about RENO and SPARKS Nevada and even CARSON CITY.
If you move here or live here here are some sports you may be aware of:
UNIVERSITY OF RENO NEVADA OR KNOWN AS UNR:
UNR has a well known established football team, and offers both men's and women's basketball teams, along with softball, and track and field. Also UNR offers some other sports as well.
RENO ACES:
Reno built a baseball field called Greater Nevada Field that host a minor league venue.
RENO 1868 FC:
Reno 1868 FC is a professional soccer team located in Reno Nevada.
The team shares the Greater Nevada Field with the Reno Aces.
So these are teams that you may hear and see in the local news and papers but are there sports here in the community that are less known and may just be as fun and entertaining.
NEVADA STORM:
Here is a all women's league and local football team called the NEVADA STORM.
Many people are unaware of this team and league in the area.

Roller Derby still is alive and kicking and Reno has a team called the OUTLAWS.
CARSON CITY ROLLER DERBY:
Roller Derby still is alive and kicking in Carson City as well with a team called the CARSON VICTORY ROLLERS
Take some time and check out some of these local teams. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the athletes, and fans of these teams. You can enjoy a night out with the family or friends and enjoy a local sport and support your local community as well.
