WWE Clash of Champions Pay Per View Review and Results by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
The Last Pay Per View of the year CLASH OF CHAMPIONS and this is the results and my future predictions for SMACKDOWN LIVE in 2018.
MATCH #1 Triple Threat Match Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, and Baron Corbin for the US CHAMPIONSHIP:
Roode and Ziggler eliminate Corbin and Roode and Ziggler exchange pins and kick outs. Corbin comes back in the match and works on Roode. After a few exchanges between all the competitors Ziggler almost pins Roode but Corbin saves the match. Corbin Takes of the straps and hits the Deep 6 on Roode but he kicks out. Fans Chant Bobby Roode!
Corbin nailed a Suplex off ropes with both Roode and Ziggler but he could not pin anyone. Ziggler and Roode both wasted way to much time and Ziggler again nearly pins Roode. Roode nearly pinned Ziggler and Corbin goes outside the ring. After a double team on Corbin Ziggler walks away with title.
WINNER: NEW US CHAMPION DOLPH ZIGGLER
Aiden English is in the ring singing for Rusev. Rusev comes to the ring with his t-shirt Happy Rusev Day. After a few moments the other tag teams make the way to the ring. New Day has a pancake obsession. As New Day hands out pancakes to fans!
MATCH #2 FATAL FOUR WAY RUSEV and AIDEN ENGLISH, USOS, CHAD GABLE and SHELTON BENJAMIN, and NEW DAY:
To even try to write the action in this match would just be nuts. A Unicorn Stampede is given to all the other tag teams. Rusev attempted several pins and attempted to cover Usos and New Day and fans chant RUSEV DAY!
Rusev and English take it to Big E and New Day and gets his hold in the middle of the ring. Big E is taken out by Gable and Usos take out Gable.
WINNERS: USOS
CHARLOTTE FLAIR VS NATALYA FOR WWE SMACKDOWN WOMENS TITLE IN A LUMBERJACK MATCH:
Flair and Natalya go back and forth in the match. As Flair goes outside the lumberjacks attack Flair. Another concern is Carmelita who still holds a cash in on the Title. Flair was in a lot of trouble as the lumberjacks still beat on Flair as Namoi seemed to be the only lumberjack on Flairs side. Natalya gets the sharpshooter in the middle of the ring but Flair fights to the ropes. Lumberjacks pull Flair out and Carmelita acts like she was gonna cash in. Flair goes outside and Natalya once again gets Flair in the middle of the ring but Flair gets her hold on Natalya and wins the match.
WINNER: FLAIR
After the match Natalya goes off on the fans and chant. She is shown crying leaving the ring stating she is turning her back on the WWE and division.
BREEZANGO VS BLUDGEON BROTHERS:
Well the Breezango team attempted to have a match but it ended faster than it started. I think the entrances of the teams had been longer than the actual match.
WINNERS: BLUDGEON BROTHERS
KEVIN OWENS AND SAMI ZAYNE vs RANDY ORTON AND SHINSUKE NAKAMURA with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryant as referees, also with an added stipulation Kevin and Sami will be fired from WWE:
Fans love singing with the music of Nakamura and Orton and fans love to boo Owens and Zayne. As the match starts fans sing and we have 2 referees. Shane seems to be acting in the main referee however a ton of good questions being asked by the commentators. As the match progresses it seems the referees are not on the same page. Shane divides the ring between himself and Bryant. Meanwhile in the match Owens and Zayne seem to take control. Nakamura comes in and the match switches gears. Shane and Bryant disagree on a few things in the match and Orton comes back into the match. Everyone goes outside the ring. Amazingly no 10 count on anyone outside the ring.In the end Shane screwed Owens and Zayne but Daniel counts fast on Orton.
WINNERS: OWENS AND ZAYNE
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MAHAL VS AJ STYLES:
Mahal comes at AJ. Mahal seems to taunt AJ. AJ goes after Mahal in the leg area. The Sing Brothers at ring side as well. The match goes outside the ring and AJ takes the brunt of the punishment. Mahal seems to cut off AJ at every move during the match. Mahal attempts a pin but AJ kicks out. AJ attempts the Clash but Mahal keeps fighting back. The match is awesome at this point as both competitors are going all out. The Sing brothers get involved and AJ takes them out.
After Mahal nails his move AJ kicks out. AJ nails the Cat Crusher in the middle of the ring but Mahal taps out.
WINNER: AJ STYLES
My Review of Clash of Champions:
I think more stunning moments and surprises need to happen both on Smackdown and Raw. The show was good as far as matches and action and the fans seemed to get involved. As far as results they seemed predictable. The Championship match was great!
My Future Predictions for Smackdown leading to WRESTLEMANIA:
A US Championship Re-match with Baron Corbin and matches with Bobby Roode.
If Ziggler puts the title up for grabs either of these two will be in line.
Rumors of Ziggler leaving WWE may play a part in this as well. Smackdown could also bring Cena in the mix but I think the final decision with him is to win his 16th WWE Title against Mahal or Styles or a match over on Raw with Reigns for the IC Title.
In the tag team division look for more matches with Gable and Benjamin, New Day and Rusev and English. Also look for a match with the Bludgeon Brothers vs the Usos down the road soon for Titles. The Bludgeon Brothers also may be in matches with the other teams as well to mix it up.
Women's division has expanded and Smackdown would be smart to get Tag Team Titles for the women division. Look for some new challenges for Flair including possibly Lynch but this is pretty open as far as storylines go. If Rousey comes to WWE FLair vs Rousey would be awesome.
Daniel Brant seems to have chosen a path and Shane did not seem happy about it. It is unclear who is turning Shane or Daniel. However this might have to do with the fact Bryant wants to wrestle again and WWE is pretty against it. It is clear WWE has decided that Shane and Daniel are going to Clash. WWE is banking this will attract the viewers to Smackdown.
WWE Smackdown Championship leading into Wrestlemania will most likely involve John Cena. After AJ has beaten Mahal twice, almost beat Lesnar and seems that no one is in line for STYLES.
So after he has shown the WWE he is definitely the Champion to beat where does it go maybe a rematch with Lesnar?

There are several rumors floating in the wrestling world about Bill Goldberg Hulk Hogan, Rhonda Rousey, and the Undertaker in WWE.
