Boxing vs MMA in America 2018

If you ask anyone to compare boxing to mma (mixed martial arts) you would probably get more people who like mma than boxing. There are some reasons in my experience people believe boxing is more fixed than mma. In the past some boxing bouts have been really questionable. Also people just seem to follow mma a little more in my opinion.. Over the years mma has been gaining ground on boxing and there is solid proof of this all over the sports industry.
This last year boxing got a huge boost with Floyd Mayweather and Conner Mcgregor fight. However after all the talk was done not much was talked about in the boxing world.

One of the major companies who has brought mma into the major sporting events in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). The company is legal in 50 states currently and offers some of the best fighters in the world today. The company is based out of Las Vegas Nevada. The company offers many live events and pay per views and offers fans a variety of fighting styles and fighters including both male and female fighters. They also offer different weight classes and titles in those weight classes. The sport is a bit more violent and wider than boxing because it is mixed martial arts that includes a wide variety of fighting styles. The UFC has made millions of dollars in revenues from pay per views and live events.

Boxing has lacked any major fights in some time that people find interesting or entertaining. There has not been a boxer to grab the fans in some time. While boxing does offer different weight classes it does not feature many female boxers ot fights. I ask you can you even name a female boxer?
When was the last time there was a boxing match with women on National Tv or Pay Per View?
Though boxing bouts can bring in millions of dollars it was in 2015 when the highest pay out of 4.6 million dollars. After that the Floyd Mayweather vs Conner McGregor made millions in 2017.

MMA fighting will most likely outpace boxing in 2018 unless there are more featured fights that will draw the media and public to boxing. Boxing will most likely take a back seat to other sports as well. Though boxing has plenty of fans and following the mma industry is just attracting more media and press and fans.
