Why the NFL and WWE are not filling the seats by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
Recent reports from both the NFL (National Football League) and WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) have had issues with filling arenas and even issues with live TV attendance. There are several speculations as to why these two particular sports are having issues recently but I have a different prospective on both.
WEATHER RELATED AND STORMS IN US RECENTLY:
The East coast and Texas recently has been battered by storms killing power and creating devastating floods and damages. Millions of people are without homes, electricity and struggling just for the basic needs to live. So why would these millions of people go to a live NFL or WWE event or turn on the TV to watch it. They have more important things to worry about than watching the NFL or the WWE or going to a live event.
RULE CHANGES IN THE NFL:
Face it the NFL is still the most popular sport in the US at this time. However the NFL has been making bad decisions on RULE CHANGES. Also changing rules on Touchdown Celebrations. Fans simply do not like the new overtime rules, and the NFL continues to add rules that FANS do not like. No one wants to see bad sportsmanship but heck I love the Bears and the Super Bowl Shuffle. Fans want to see some excitement on the game from players and teams. The NFL needs to be reminded the fans are the ones watching the games live or on TV.
MONEY AND COST OF EVENTS:
Live events bring in a lot of revenue for both companies but these companies are charging high fees for fans at live events. The NFL is really bad about this most people these days can't afford to even go to a game by the time you pay for the tickets, parking, and food you are spending anywhere from $400 to $700 in the cheaper seats and teams. The WWE also cost more at Pay Per Views many people can not afford to go to the largest event Wrestlemania. WWE does have lower cost than the NFL but if fans can not afford the cost than is is just cheaper and easier to watch at home.
MAKING FANS ANGRY:
When companies make decisions like moving teams they do not consider the FANS. Also making FANS angry or upset over remarks by your SUPERSTARS or PLAYERS. The WWE and NFL are getting a lesson finally the FANS are in control of your company, your team and your future!
What the WWE and the NFL have in common is they are all fan based!
