Sports Wagering in the future by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

It is JUNE 2017 and pot has become legal but sports wagering still is only available in NEVADA at this point in time..

Though New Jersey has attempted to join the ranks of Vegas all has failed due to a fight from the four major professional sports leagues and government of the USA. However this may take a turn very soon as the NFL just approved for the first time ever in history the team called the Oakland Raiders will be based in Vegas. Also newly added a NHL team so does this mean the leagues are finally giving into the future of sports wagering.

Sports Books in Nevada turn a tidy little profit from sports wagering into the millions of dollars however illegal gambling is estimated into the billions of dollars so what exactly is the hold up?

The hold up is the fact the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB and most all colleges have been fighting sports wagering. They believe it affects the games but the fact is there is so much legal and illegal wagering done on sports it already is most likely happening. There is a whole history of evidence to support this and even though I love conspiracy theories I do not even have to go very far to uncover much information to support a case that gambling on sports does affect them and the turnout of the games.

Also people really do not want the GOVERNMENT involved in sports and in the United States of America, It is illegal to operate a betting scheme, except in Nevada, Oregon, Delaware, and Montana. However these States have fallen victim to the Leagues and Government and the types of wagering you can do there is very limited.

Nevada in 2014 passed a law that a person like myself who owns Micheal Tomsik Sports Trading Company could operate a investment company in the State of Nevada that legally wagers on sports for investors. Though I have yet to find any that have been around as long as me I am going on my third year. You can go to www.tomsikenterprises.com to find out more about me. The rules and regulations on this type of company are very wide open in Nevada. I followed all the rules regulations licensing and so forth but many others have not. So beware and investigate these companies.

WILL SPORTS WAGERING EVER BECOME LEGAL IN OTHER STATES?

There are a lot of people and companies out there that are wagering on that. Currently one company based out of Europe called WILLIAM HILL SPORTS BOOKS recently bought out LEROY'S and several other sports books in Nevada making it the largest Sports Book in Nevada. This company could expand all over the USA as it already has operations in Delaware and recently opened a horse book in IOWA along the Mississippi River.

Companies like ( ERI ) ELDORADO CORPORATION have recently bought several casinos and horse books in other States and has made them in the top running for the largest casino operators however they do not operate sports books. Horse racing is already what is called PARI MUTUEL meaning that the races are simulcast from the track to other tracks and casinos with the odds being paid on the races as if you were standing at the track yourself. This allows many casinos and other horse tracks to carry the race and allow wagering on them.

All most every State in the USA has some form of gambling whether it is a Casino, Lottery, Horse Racing. Utah and Alaska are the only two States holding out on some form of legal gambling. Therefore it seems that the answer to the question would be YES AT SOME POINT IN TIME SPORTS WAGERING WILL BECOME LEGAL IN OTHER STATES.

However do not expect it to happen anytime soon as around sometime  in 2008 or so I said Sports Wagering would be legal before POT , but here in 2017 there are about 10 to 20 States where POT is legal and sports wagering is not.

SOME CHANGES IN SPORTS WAGERING ARE HAPPENING HERE IN NEVADA

William Hill Sports Book opened the door to LIVE ACTION WAGERING. Meaning you can wager on a game while it is being played. Often the lines change after every play or score. This opens a new door in how a person can wager on sports. You are able to watch the sport and wager on it live. So far William Hill Sports Book is the only Sports Book offering this service but I can see it coming down the pipeline soon for other sports books.

Stations Casino Sports Books has gotten approval from Nevada gaming to have wagering on Fantasy Sports as well. To be honest I have no idea how it works but it currently is being offered through Station Casinos.

MOBILE WAGERING: Almost all major sports books in Nevada offer Mobile Wagering these days as well. You sign up for an account at the book you download an app and you can wager on your funded account on your phone within the borders of Nevada only. You still have to go to a book to sign up, deposit money or remove money but beyond that your acct and wagering is available from your cell phone.

Nevada Gaming for the first time also made it legal to wager on  the OLYMPICS GAMES, and soon I believe will be adding other types of wagering on other sports or even other events in the USA. Like in Europe it is legal to wager on elections, TV shows, and other strange events or happenings.

Will Nevada ever go that far I believe one day it will.

Sure there are a lot of small towns in Nevada but most people are aware of Vegas and Reno in Nevada. All of these cities have casinos and sports-books for the wagering public. If Sports Wagering ever becomes legal I believe these cities would suffer some damages.They already are striving for customers, and since I live in Reno casinos have faded and other industries have accelerated. Reno I believe would be hit harder than Vegas as several sports books have already pulled out of RENO leaving very few choices for the public gamblers.

I do not see wagering slowing down either as people seem to like to wager on sports in general. I think down the line at some point sports wagering will be legal in other States, and I believe Nevada will be more creative with what you can wager on in the near future.
