It is all about MARCH MADNESS the college basketball tournament by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

      WHAT IS THE MARCH MADNESS COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT?

This is a tournament developed by the NCAA founded in 1939. The tournament starts with 68 teams selected to participate in the tournament. It is a single elimination tournament meaning if a team loses they are out. It is played till two teams remain that play for the Championship.

It is the biggest sporting event in the United States!

The tournament starts with 68 teams but is reduced when the 4 teams play in what is known as FIRST FOUR ROUND. The two winning teams from these games are added to the 62 teams selected making the bracket a total of 64 teams.

The First round is played and is reduced to 32 teams, than those teams play again and is reduced to 16 teams this is often called THE SWEET SIXTEEN.

Once again the team play and it is reduced to 8 teams often called the ELITE EIGHT.

These eight teams play and it is reduced to 4 teams often called the FINAL FOUR.

Once again these teams play and is reduced to 2 teams that play for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

It started being  televised in 1969.

The teams are chosen by a selection committee and announced on television on Sunday that has been named SELECTION SUNDAY by the fans and media.

The Bracket in the photo above has become an challenge for fans and the media and is widely popular in the USA. 

Warren Buffett made a challenge to pick a PERFECT BRACKET  that would have paid out 1 BILLION dollars to the winner. However no one won the prize.

The odds of a PERFECT BRACKET are 1 in 9.2 Quintilian.

No one has ever picked a PERFECT BRACKET a man named GREG NIEGL was recorded as picking the first 49 games Perfect, and his first loss came at the SWEET SIXTEEN.

The tournament was impacted by the Covid 19 outbreaks in 2020 and 2021.

This year SELECTION SUNDAY is on MARCH 13th 2022!

FIRST/SECOND ROUNDS             MARCH 17th to the 20th.

SWEET SIXTEEN                            MARCH 24th to the 26th

ELITE EIGHT                                  MARCH 25th to 27th

FINAL FOUR                                   APRIL 2nd
