Annie and I live what I call a Keto Lifestyle we changed our lives nearly 2 years ago to a Keto Lifestyle.
We are not doctors or health care professionals but I can say we have put many hours and time into education and knowledge of Keto and Healthy Living.
We hope this blog will help you live a happier and healthy life.
EACH ONE OF US WANTS TO LIVE A HAPPY HEALTHY LIFE however there are many choices in life and in everything we do. The choices we make will have a ever lasting impact on our lives and health. I feel the money I spend on food that is good for me defiantly is better than spending the money for medical care, There are many that would disagree with me on this subject however.
The average cost of health care can vary depending on age. The younger years average $5,000 per year but as age hits the older you are the health care cost goes up by age 65 it doubles to $10,000 per year. This is just an average and does not include medical cost if there are special issues. Also this does not include prescriptions or other home care.
In America the health care business is a 3.6 trillion dollar industry.
We have already discovered many things that had been thought was the correct way to eat foods was not correct. It has created an issue on the food pyramid and health issues with weight, diabetics, cancer, heart issues, kidney issues and other medical issues in the general population in America.
There is so much evidence what we eat and how we eat and the impact is has on our health that it is indisputable.
The other day I wanted to make some Keto pizza, so I bought cauliflower crust , pepperoni, chicken, cheese, pizza sauce, mushrooms, peppers, and olives, The total cost was nearly $30 for 2 pizzas. I was looking in the section of frozen pizzas and I could have gotten similar pizzas for 1/2 that cost that had similar ingredients but would have been unhealthy due to the ingredients in them.
In today's world there is rising cost in food it is most likely one of the top household expenses.
Where I live Wal-Mart is the top store, there is another store called Hy- Vee that is a more healthy driven store. If you compare prices Hy-Vee will probably be on the higher end of cost vs Wal Mart but the produce, meats, and goods are a better quality.
We love finding farmers markets that give the opportunity to purchase fruits and vegetables directly from the farm. However the cost is a bit higher and also you have to be wary of fake vendors that buy the produce in secondary markets.
Meats that are grown organically or have been raised with no added chemicals or pesticides or modified can also be a bit higher in cost. Going to a butcher or specialty meat company may cost more but once again the quality is so much better.
Once again in today's world over the past year with Covid 19 and many people losing jobs, the economy struggling, some people may not be able to choose buying better quality or healthy foods.
The impact is already being felt here in America as people are shown to have gained weight, and have more medical issues.
The food we eat has been proven time and time again that it can have positive affects on the human body and negative affects as well.
It is just my opinion but I would rather spend the money on good foods that will help me live a better and happier and healthier live than spending my money and time on doctors and health care.
I did not always feel this way. I did not really think about Keto or Healthy Living till my wife became ill. We changed our entire lives and way of thinking so that we could live happier healthier lives.
The choice is yours and yours alone!
