REVIEWS of Ant Man and Wasp plus Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
I have not written any movie reviews recently I watched two movies lately.
So first of all if you read this blog and have not seen these movies there are MAJOR SPOILERS and the end of the movie is revealed as well!
JURASSIC WORLD FALLEN KINGDOM:
The big issue I had with this movie was the pure stupidly of doing the same thing over and over. Also the sure stupidity of having a volcano erupting on and island and no preparation in advance.
As with the prior movies this move is all about dinosaurs.
The question comes up if the world should save the dinosaurs that they created in prior movies from the island that has a volcano erupting.
As with anything money and corruption changes the entire plan of the idea of moving the dinosaurs to an island they could have lived at in peace.
With the idea of going back to the island with Owen played by Cris Pratt, and Claire played by Bryce Dallas Howard, and the return of Ian Malcom played by Jeff Goldblum. Mills played by Rafe Spail becomes the bad guy in this movie. Benjermin Lockwood played by James Cornwell is the one financially helping out and is killed in the movie.
They establish a team and head to the island and realize they are being played. The military team manages to capture several dinosaurs including Blue the Raptor from the last movie. They all end up going back to the Lockwood property where the dinosaurs are being sold as a military weapons.
A Super Raptor is created or cloned or something along these lines not really explained well in the movie. Owen and Claire head up a small team and stop it all with the help of Blue killing the Super Raptor. However the granddaughter of Lockwood Isbella is discovered to be a clone. In the end she is given a decision to let the dinosaurs die or set them free and she chooses to set them free.
It was a good movie but kinda lame in the fact of doing the same thing over and over from prior Jurassic movies. In the end the dinosaurs get set free and Owen and Claire end up with Isbella.
I liked the movie but just seemed really lame to me.
ANT MAN AND THE WASP:
I had issues with this movie as well. It comes in with Ant Man played by Paul Rudd being on house arrest for the assistance at the end of the movie Civil War as Ant Man fought with Captain America.
Hope Pynn played by Evangeline Lilly and Hank Pynn played by Michael Douglas are still in hiding from the government. The movie is based on the idea of saving the original Wasp played by Michelle Pfeiffer from the qutiam world she got stuck in years ago.
There is a bit of romantic spark between Ant Man (Scott) and Hope who also played the Wasp in the movie. The FBI is all over Scott and he basically gets kidnapped by Hope and her Dad to help them.
The movie kicks into gear when they go get a part they need from Sonny Burch played by Walton Goggins as an arms dealer.
Hope and Scott team up at this point and are being chased by the FBI and Sonny. They have to go to an old friend Bill Foster played by Laurence Fishburne who has been hiding the GHOST played by Hanna-John Kamen. The Ghost has a issue with the qutiam as well it causes her to be un-solid and in great pain.
The Ghost and FBI and Sonny all want the building that Scott, Hope and her Dad have. It becomes a mouse and cat game over the building. It does get interesting and there is a lot of action in the movie. Hope and her Dad have to go back into the qutiam world to get her Mom.
It all works out with some twist and turns in the end. The Mom comes back than she helps the Ghost and they all manage to stay out of trouble from the FBI and manage to take care of Sonny and his crew.
However stay for the credits because it shows ANT MAN going into the qutiam world with Hope her MOM and DAD on the computers on a roof. Than they all turn to dust with Ant Man stuck in the qutiam world.
I presume this is leading to the Avengers movie where Thanos erased half of the world.
At first I would have given this movie a bad review. However it came back with lots of action and ended in a way that made it more interesting.
