Welcome to my PODCAST called the OUTLAW PODCAST. After years of doing sports and wrestling the PODCAST has turned to something else. Today I involve much of my own life into the PODCAST. I still love sports and wrestling but times have changed and as a smaller company we are changing as well.

I may still do some sports  or pro wrestling shows but at this time I have turned the PODCAST in a new direction. The podcast is about different things I am passionate about and some things I just feel you will find interesting or educational. The Podcast is based on my REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES and KNOWLEDGE so this may help you in your struggles.

As one of my first projects and series I am doing  THE OUTLAW SIDE HUSTLE.

DO I NEED A BUSINESS LICENSE FOR MY SIDE HUSTLE ?

To answer this question it depends on what kind of side hustle you're doing. Some side hustles like  INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING with UBER, LYFT, DOOR DASH, WALMART SPARKS, AMAZON, or any other independent contract driving or delivery service will not require a business license.

In these types of side hustles you will be considered an independent contractor, You will get paid through the company you sign up with The companies will not take out , social security, federal taxes, state taxes, and you will be responsible for your car and personal insurance, car maintenance, and car expenses. 

However this does not require a business license to do these types of side hustles.

If you're doing anything online you should have a business license, plus if you're doing any type of business or service you should have a business license. Even operating out of your home.

There are some exceptions like here in Missouri many of the Flea Markets that offer booth spaces also offer a fee to get you a license, and some do not require it. Selling at a flea market or a garage sale may not require a business license. To find out if you need a business license you may have to investigate the type of SIDE HUSTLE you're doing. 

Most likely a Garage sale, or selling at flea markets may not require a business license. However this may also depend on what your selling or what service you plan to provide.

If you are selling or offering any type of service I would recommend you get a business license.

HOW DO I GET A BUSINESS LICENSE:

Every STATE has a department that issues a business license. You may have to research your STATE, CITY or COUNTY to find out what department will issue the license. 

HOW MUCH WILL A  BUSINESS LICENSE COST:

This is something you will also need to research each State, City or Federal agencies may have different fees.  Here in Missouri a license can run from $50 to $500 per year.

WHY DO I NEED A BUSINESS LICENSE:

There are many reasons why. First of all it makes you a legal business and offers compliance with City, State, and Federal laws.  Operating without a license can lead to fines, fees, lawsuits, closure of your business, and legal issues. 

Also having a business license can offer some benefits as well, like getting wholesale or distributor prices. People following and being customers of your company, There are tax benefits as well being able to write off expenses and losses from the company.
