In 2025 I decided to start my series in my home town of Springfield Missouri. My mission is to research and study the homeless issues, and what leads to the issue, and how to resolve the issue. 

I plan for all of 2025 to find answers through interviews, research, blogging , and videos. 

Once I have completed my home town I plan to move my series and research ALL OF AMERICA.

Here it is March already 2025 I have not done a lot on Down and Out in America as I had planned.

I wanted however to discuss who picks up and cleans up after the homeless camps once they have gone?

There is no research on an exact price but it is estimated that it cost over $100,000 dollars to clean up places the homeless have left a mess. In Austin Texas they had to spend a little over 3.5 million to clean up after the homeless. There was even one clean up that ran 12.5 million dollars.

Here in Springfield where I live there have become increased camps and messes and no one seems to care. I even did an Interview on KY-3 local news but nothing was done about these camps full of trash.

There are several camps on a trail I walk daily and 2 of the places that no longer have a camp are full of trash. One had a fire as well, There is trash all over the trail on both sides and by the river. There are more camps up the trail to the e East as well that still have people in them and are full of trash.

I ask who is responsible, who cares about it with little to  no reply from anyone.

This all started when a local homeless shelter called Route 66 closed near my house. Once this shelter closed the camps started to pop up all over the trail behind my home.
