THE XFL odds on make it or break it by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
The XFL a league revived by Vince McMahon the WWE owner and CEO but is the league going to MAKE IT OR BREAK IT?
THe WWE has exploded all over stocks took a ride upwards after many years of sitting around $20 a share they boomed here a while back getting close to $80 a share. However after the initial boom of getting his wrestling company on Fox, and on USA twice a week the WWE stock has really tumbled sitting at close to $45 a share today on the global market.
I only mention this because one thing that could happen is the XFL could end up on the WWE NETWORK if the league fails on ESPN and FOX or other channels.
XFL is also going to get hard in March and April because the famous MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT STARTS on March 15th when the teams in the bracket will be released.
In week 3 the ratings have already dropped according to many outside companies reporting that the average viewing is only 1.4 million viewers.
In week 4 of the XFL the rating dropped another 14 percent.
I would love to see this league last and come back but here is the thing no one ever listens to The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik so here once again I am tossing out my suggestions for the XFL.
Number one suggestion: The XFL should allow women to play the game maybe even bring an entire women's team into the league.
Results: This would bring numerous sports companies and broadcasting companies to focus on the XFL. No other semi or professional league has had a woman player or team.
This includes the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB.
The league would get immediate media and social interaction, and many would be talking about the league.
The XFL would experience a new level of media coverage.
Number two suggestion: Smaller leagues want to use large stadiums like the NFL but these are costly, and to cover expenses you have to sell tickets, you also need sponsors and commercials.
Use smaller stadiums or try to make deals with local colleges or even high schools to use football fields.
Results: The league spends less money on cost of leasing stadiums, and fans can afford the ticket prices.
Number three suggestion: These teams and players need the community. Get Your players, coaches, and involved in the community.
Results: The players will be recognized by the community, and local business and media companies will jump on the band wagon to support the teams.
That is all of my current suggestions I have a lot more ideas for the XFL but who am but a lonely little no one to the XFL.
MY ODDS ON THE XFL MAKING IT PAST ONE YEAR:
I am still giving the XFL favorable odds on making it past one year only because I feel they could move the league to the WWE NETWORK, even if the league loses ESPN and FOX or any other major network it can fall back to the WWE NETWORK.
WILL THE XFL LAST MORE THAN ONE YEAR
YES -150
NO +225
