Reno Nevada vs Las Vegas Nevada Cost of Living

There are only two cities in Nevada that people really talk about though there are several other small cities and places to live. These two cities Reno and Las Vegas are the most talked about and visited by tourist.
So here is an Outlaw run down of the facts about both of these cities and some comparisons on cost of living, jobs and other factors.

POPULATION:

RENO:
Reno is in Washoe County that covers Sparks Nevada as well, and 30 miles South is Carson City the State Capitol. New companies like Tesla, Panasonic are located 15 miles south of Sparks on USA Parkway halfway between Sparks and Fernley.

POPULATION AS OF 2018 is estimated at 237.000 and is 4th in the State after Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas.
It is estimated that Truckee Meadows has a population of around 500,000.

LAS VEGAS:
Las Vegas is on Clark County and covers the famous Strip that has many famous casinos. There are many outside cities as well including Henderson, and North Las Vegas Nevada.

POPULATION AS OF 2018 is estimated at 632,912 and is 1st in the State, 2nd is Henderson that has an estimated 292,969, and 3rd is North Las Vegas is estimated at 238,702.
It is Estimated that Las Vegas Metropolitan area has a population of around 2 million.

WAGES:

RENO:

LAS VEGAS:

RENO:

LAS VEGAS NEVADA:
As of April 2018 the average price for a home in the Las Vegas area is estimated at $265,000.

COST OF LIVING:

RENO:
