Healthy Food 4 Healthy Life ( Going into week 8 or 60 Days of pure Carnivore)

If you are just joining us, or never heard of us or me then let me fill you in a little.
THIS IS OUR STORY:
Annie and I started the KETO LIFESTYLE in 2020 after her brother was diagnosed with diabetes Her brother whose name is Dick Kelley eventually passed away from the disease. Annie was really sick in 2020 and also diagnosed with diabetes. Our fear of what happened to her brother got us investigating what we could do. We had Doctors tell us there was nothing but medications however we found KETO and began to follow the LIFESTYLE.

So normally I will admit I have been a KETO LIFESTYLE but my Annie switched to complete Carnivore. I call it KETOVORE!
So 8 weeks ago I embarked on a challenge with my boss he wanted to get to a weight of 195 and I wanted to get down to 200. I have never stopped KETO I want to make that very clear!
I had gone up in weight in the past year. I let myself slide all the way to 218 pounds from the normal 210 pounds I had maintained for over 2 years. I am not really sure why the weight came back but during the last 60 Days I have discovered a few things. Here are some thoughts I have come up with.
HAVE A FRIEND, CO-WORKER, or FAMILY MEMBER DO it with you:
Having my boss involved in the challenge has been very helpful. We chat daily about what we ate,and if our weight is going up or down plus what we think we need to do to keep losing the weight. I really strongly suggest if you are embarking on a journey of weight loss you find someone like this and use it to your advantage. It is a great way to be accountable for what you eat and to have support in your journey. It also motivates you to stay on track and accomplish your goal.
PRESSURE FROM FAMILY, FRIENDS, or CO-WORKERS can be ONE OF THE HARDEST PARTS of changing how you eat. Face it you go out to a function or event, or a holiday, a party, or anything that involves food people have a tendency to pressure you into breaking your choice of LIFESTYLE. Annie and I have suffered from this ourselves. Though by these days most people around us are aware we do Keto or Carnivore.
SHOULD YOU LISTEN TO A DOCTOR or HEALTH PROFESSIONAL ?
I am a bit jaded on Health Care and Doctors being I am an American Indian. I don't really follow much of what the so-called professionals have to say. However health care and Doctors do serve a purpose and having this care available is a good idea. It is a fact in American History however that diseases and weight issues started from bad information on the American Food Pyramid. Also it is a fact that most Doctors and Health Professionals push medications instead of curing the disease. It is really a choice you have to make you can eat HEALTHY FOOD and have a HEALTHY LIFE or you can choose to follow the path of many down the road of medications.
BE REALISTIC AND HONEST IN YOUR JOURNEY
Having real goals and realizing there may be some set backs to your goal. Fess up if you mess up. The only way you will gain success it to be HONEST in your journey.
Ending week 8 I was at 203.6 on Saturday April 12th 2025, but on Sunday 13th I was at 204, and on Monday April 14th I was at 205.1. I am not sure what changed but here we are folks!
