Healthy Food 4 Healthy Life ( The Challenge was getting to 200 pounds by April 30th 2025)

                  Welcome to 2025 and welcome to the life story of Annie and Micheal Tomsik. 

I am happy you have been following my blogs since 2020. 

If you are just joining us, or never heard of us or me then let me fill you in a little.  

THIS IS OUR STORY:

Annie and I started the KETO LIFESTYLE in 2020 after her brother was diagnosed with diabetes Her brother whose name is Dick Kelley eventually passed away from the disease. Annie was really sick in 2020 and also diagnosed with diabetes. Our fear of what happened to her brother got us investigating what we could do. We had Doctors tell us there was nothing but medications however we found KETO and began to follow the LIFESTYLE.

So normally I will admit I have been a KETO LIFESTYLE but my Annie switched to complete Carnivore. I call it KETOVORE!

So I do have to tell on myself I decided a few nights ago to add some olives to my Taco Bowl. I was not sure what it would do as far as weight gain but I just wanted the Olives and they are allowed on Keto.

However my expectations lead to no weight gain but did lead to stomach and bathroom issues the next day/

So Annie decided we would try this experiment we saw online with a pineapple. I will admit Pineapple is not Keto so this will not be happening anytime soon again. I was lucky it really has no effect at all , that's most likely because I only ate 3 pieces. If I would have eaten more it could have gotten me out of Ketosis.

I have managed to stay in CARNIVORE for over 75 DAYS currently besides the two above mistakes. I may stay in CARNIVORE even longer because it is working for me. Though I love KETO and I really miss Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries and Watermelon, plus an AVOCADO once in a while. 

ON APRIL 25th I had gotten down to 201.5 pounds and I have currently lost 16.5 pounds.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN DOING THIS CHALLENGE:

What I found out during this challenge so far is I really cannot change what I eat on a daily basis. Many CARNIVORE community members say you can eat all the meat you want and lose weight, but I found this  was not true for me. I would stall for several days if I ate more meat. They also say if you eat more fat you will burn more fat  but this also proved not true for me. I found what works for me is a higher protein and less fat intake. I also found out I needed to watch my food intake amounts. If I ate too much meat in one day I would stall or my weight would go up. The truth is you gotta find your MEAT SPOT!

DID I GET TO 200 POUNDS by APRIL 30th 2025 ?

On Saturday April 26th 2025 U stepped on the scale and I was at 200.8 Pounds so officially I hit my goal before April 30th 2025!

What this means is I have been burning 1.5 pounds of fat per week approximately so it took me 3 months burning 6 pounds per month dropping from 218 to 200. I officially have dropped 17.2 pounds.

I had to stay CARNIVORE to do this. I was only eating only meat and dairy. I also was skipping breakfast and only eating a hamburger patty for lunch Monday to Friday.  I usually did not eat lunch till after 11AM meaning I fasted from when Annie and I are Dinner and that was usually around 6PM to 7PM in the evening.  At dinner I also reduced my portion size and here we are today.

KEEP FOLLOWING if you want to see what I may try next is adding back some fruits I like.
