Hello Outlaw Adventures we have started our grand trip across the USA leaving Springfield, MO.

We have been getting ready for our journey packing and cooking food for us as we are still living the KETO and CARNIVORE LIFESTYLE.

Friday May 19th, and Saturday May 20th

Friday May 19th

Annie and I arrived in Williams AZ about 9:30 AM we decided to get breakfast.

We ate at the Pine Country Cafe.

We decided to walk around the town after that and we walked up and down the main street going in and out of many stores.

We had been waiting for relatives to come and join us.

During our walk we ran into BUCK WILLIAMS a famous whip Cowboy who did a short interview and video with us.

NOTE: SEE VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE!

3 PM our realities came but they had an issue with the RV we all had planned on staying in so we had to find a hotel.

We all went out to dinner at the Branding Iron Steak House

After that we retired to our hotel room.

SATURDAY MAY 20th

9:30 AM we all are getting on the Grand Canyon Railway Train to the South Rim.

Today we took the: GRAND CANYON RAILWAY TOUR

HERE IS MY REVIEW:

It starts out with an old western show. The show is entertaining and the actors are very friendly however the one thing that ruined the entire production was the sound. If you're sitting in the stands all the way in the back you cannot hear the actors. This ruins the show entirely.

My Suggestion to the show producers is to get some speakers and wireless mics so the entire crowd can hear the show.

You are instructed to board the train make sure you have your tickets they are very strict on this policy and also very strict on the departure time of 9:30 AM. They do not open all the doors so the lines are long to enter the train.

Once aboard you will find your seats and the train will leave the station in Williams, AZ it is a 63 mile ride to the Grand Canyon and takes 2.5 hours. During this ride a food and drink cabin is opened up but the food and drinks are heavily over priced so beware. You can bring your own food and drinks but they do not allow you to take alcoholic beverages. and there is no smoking or vaping allowed. You can buy some alcoholic beverages in the food cabin on the train.

The ride is slow paced and smooth with views of natural beauty and wildlife. During the ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon Depot the crew has a few tricks in playing some music and the staff attempts to entertain you along the route but for me it was a bit boring. I think the train could move faster and get to and from faster. However it is relaxing!

Also they are very strict at boarding the train back at 3:00 PM and leaving the station at 3:30 PM

We had booked the TOUR BUS as well they leave you no time between the exit of the train to get on the bus.

Suggestion go to the bathroom on the train!

Once aboard the bus off the tour goes but we found this a bit disappointing as well. The bus tour was 45 minutes long. It took us to only 2 view points in the Canyon and passed several points on the way. We lost 4 passengers along the way as well. However the spots that the bus did go to only lasted about 20 minutes each but you got plenty of time to view this beautiful place. The bus returns you down to the Train Depot and you have to walk after that. Going up through the hotel and coming out on the South Rim. You're free to roam before having to be back on the train.

We sat and had our lunch and took some photos and walked around the rim a bit and then headed back to the train to be there by 3 PM.

Suggestion: Though the bus tour is nice you may want to skip it and take time to walk around the rim yourself. We found the time we had really did not give us ample time to do what we wanted to do. If you do both you may consider staying over night in the Canyon to have more time.

By the time the train got there, and the bus tour was over we had less than 1.5 hours to do what we wanted to do. This is not really enough time to enjoy the Canyon in my opinion.

At 3 PM you board the train at the GRAND CANYON TRAIN DEPOT and again you face long lines getting on the train. Once the train gets going you get the same views back but the staff tricks you again into a real live train robbery.

We had issues with this as well though it was for fun they seemed more interested in getting the riders to fork over money during the robbery. Some more music and entertainment from the staff is also provided. However in my opinion the train ride is just too long at 2.5 hours.

You are dropped back off at the WILLIAMS DEPOT.

It was a very nice trip but for me the 5 hour train ride 2 ways was just a little long, and I felt there was not enough time doing what I wanted at the Canyon. Also I felt the bus tour could have stopped at more places. It also concerned me we lost 4  people!

All in ALL I would recommend taking the Train tour it is well worth it even with the minor complaints above.
