It is all about Delivery Business by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
So recently I decide to start delivery driving recently once afga after nearly 8 month break.
Also I am in a new area in Springfield Missouri.
I also have added a new company called Car GO and working with DoorDash and Uber eats as well.
I am going to try to do more videos and write more blogs about the following subjects and concerns you may have in 2020.
HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO THINK ABOUT:
Doordash, Uber and some other companies do not cap off how many drivers or independent contractors are in a certain area.
This means that it is very possible that there are not enough jobs for every independent contractor or driver.
The companies do not have to provide information on how many contractors they have in an area.
The companies do list restaurants they work with however you can also research this on apps for all the companies.
All the companies use a phone app for the service.
If you do Uber or Lyft Passenger Pick ups and drop offs they require a vehicle that is a least with in 10 years of age of current year.
With all the companies including Lyft, Postmates, Grub Hub, Instant Cart, you are an independent Contractor not an employee of the company.
Being an independent contractor does mean you are SELF EMPLOYED.
Because you are Self employed and a contractor with these companies they do not have to provide you HEALTH INSURANCE, EMPLOYEE BENEFITS,VACATION TIME, or normal benefits you would expect to get with a normal paying wage or salaried position.
As an independent contractor or self employment you will have to be responsible for Federal and State Taxes, Unemployment, and Social Security.
As an independent contractor or self employment you will need to be responsible for vehicle maintenance, and expenses. The good news is you can write these expenses off.
You may need to get a business license in some places depending on the laws, rules and regulations.
You will need a cell phone and bank account to get paid, and get jobs assigned to you from the company apps.
