Many delivery companies choosing contactless delivery

After nearly 2 years going on 3 years of delivery service I have never seen any thing like this.
So I wanted to take a brief moment to discuss CONTACTLESS DELIVERY SERVICE!
UBER and DOOR DASH have the best system to do this type of delivery service and some other restaurants and delivery services may take notice.
With each company the customer can pay on the APP and this way the delivery person can pick up the food through the drive through. Alsao the customer can follow the delivery person on the app and can see when the food will arrive.
The delivery person will drop off the food at the door and the customer can tip or not tip the delivery person and there we have it NO CONTACT DELIVERY SERVICE!
UBER and DOOR DASH have made it so the customer can tip before or after the delivery is over.
A recent spike in delivery services from DOOR DASH , UBER EATS, and GRUB HUB have delivery people jumping for joy in the mist of a virus that has made life impossible for many.
These companies have seen a rise in services but a decline in UBER Passenger and PICK UP services.
How are other companies handling the delivery services?
Some companies are headed down the road of NO CONTACT DELIVERIES so how are they going to do this?
Many companies are going to online payments where as customers order the food and leave a tip for the delivery person and this way NO CONTACT has to be made the driver arrives and leaves the food for the customer.
The second way is to call the customer and ask if they want to leave a tip for the delivery and than the food is dropped off at the door.
Another way is to leave the receipt in the delivery box or carrier however this could lead to possible contamination of the container and pen for the customer and delivery person. This is the last option that should be used and should also have the container and pen sanitized after each use.
What if the customer wants to use cash?
The models on DOOR DASH and UBER and even GRUB HUB do not involve cash transactions, though customers can offer cash tips. Once again the customer could leave cash in the containers, or envelopes could be used. COmpanies would be better off using the credit or debit method this offers true not contact and true no possible contamination.
There is no way to stay 6 feet apart at a doorstep and there are possible contamination possibilities for both the customers and delivery people. As more measures are being implemented to drastically reduce the spread more contactless deliveries are most likely coming soon.
