It is JUNE 22nd 2026 and I am still fighting the good fight with my small company called Micheal's Card Collection Company.

So many things happened so fast this year.

First I lost one Flea Market Location in May 2026 due to the entire flea market closing down so I had to sell 3 of my vending machines and close an entire booth.

Then during the same month one of my vending machines finally broke down and I decided to close the final 2 vending machines.

However in the silver lining I was able to talk my last location into expanding the booth and allowing me to have the entire booth. YOU CAN FIND IT AT TIMELESS FLEA MARKET!

As a very small business of one person it is a struggle with keeping the company going and let me explain why.

DISTRIBUTORS:

Because I do not have a BRICK and MOTOR LOCATION  (A RETAIL LOCATION) the top distributors will not allow me to be a wholesale vendor. What this means is that the top distributors will not allow me to purchase wholesale through the distributors even though I meet all the other requirements.

So to combat this I had to find other ways of getting products this means reaching into secondary markets.

I found some distributors however because they are secondary the prices on the products are higher. This limits me to what I can purchase and sell to the customers at a reasonable price.

I have spent considerable time and effort to keep my products at a fair market value using TCG and PRICE CHARTING as my main source of pricing my products.

COMPETITION:

Every business competes for sales but I am limited to One Location at the moment and doing some shows. I can't compete with large stores in the area because they have the advantage of being able to order the products from the distributors above because they have brick and mortar locations.

SHOWS and EVENTS:

At one point in 2024 and 2025 I was able to do a lot of shows and events. I love doing shows and events. However in my area you are looking at $100 to $150 per table rental at a show. If the show is  out of the area include all the expenses of getting and working the show. To do a show you must have the cost up front for the tables, and inventory to sell at the shows. You also have no idea how much money or if you will even make money from the show. So doing shows is a risk.

SELLING ON FACEBOOK MARKET PLACE:

I have bought and sold in this market for over 3 years. However it does come with some risk as well. You must verify the products you are getting are authentic and not fake.  Also there is the whole concept of meeting people in parking lots, or public places.

FIGHTING THE SCALPERS:

One thing that has happened with POKEMON CARDS is that people buy out cards in a matter of hours or days if they are released at a store like Target, Walmart, These stores have started to restrict how much you can buy but people get around these restrictions. These stores will not work with a small company like mine I have tried. What the scalpers do is they buy all the cards and turn around and raise the prices to sell online .I am not against this exactly but I wish it was bit more open to a person like me that just wants to buy enough to re sale in my business.

FAKE OR IMITATION CARDS:

This is an area I have a strong opinion about: I hate FAKE CARDS!

However this another area that has become an issue because there are retail companies out in the world that advertise really cheap cards. People then purchase these cards.

Most of them are not aware they are getting a FAKE PRODUCT. 

What these companies do is get cards from Foreign Countries that produce FAKE CARDS.

You may even get sealed products but the entire product is FAKE!

I have built a small community and I want to THANK all of you who have chosen my business and me as your Pokemon location and meeting me at shows. For me it is about seeing people so happy to get a card or finish a collection, or show me the binder, or talk to me about what they are doing. 

Though it is a business and I am making money from it the idea was to bring joy and have fun.

As long as I can do this I plan to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT and keep going!
