Healthy Food 4 Healthy Life ( Here are some places we found in Springfield to get a Carnivore or Keto Hamburger)

 Annie and I lately have been exploring the idea of finding the perfect restaurant or fast food joint to find a CARNIVORE HAMBURGER. 

We live in SPRINGFIELD MO so our search included the area we live in.

HERE IS OUR REPORT FOR THOSE OF YOU EATING CARNIVORE OR KETO:

Getting a restaurant or fast food joint to serve Keto or Carnivore is a bit of a battle and this is why Annie and I do not go out a lot. So here are a few places we have found that you can do Keto or Carnivore. 

This report or review is based on our personal experience going to the following places.

1) McDONALDS:

McDonalds is one of the few fast food joints that will allow you to order a burger patty only. 

However Annie and I had run into \these issues:

There was one McDonalds that would not serve us unless we allowed them to put lettuce on the plate.  There also had been done unverified rumors that the patties had fillers but according to Mcdonalds web pages the patties are 100%  beef with a little salt and pepper added.

2) WENDYS:

At the end of 2023 the fast food chain chose to not allow you to order a hamburger patty by itself.

3) FIVE GUYS:

This fast food chain has what is called a BURGER BOWL. They allow you to order any burger on the menu with no bun. You can also still add some items to the burger if you wanted to be KETO.  The bad news is the they use 100 percent peanut oil. The day we visited they put the bacon in the deep fryer. Also just in my opinion the prices are pretty high for 2 burgers and 2 un-sweet ice teas we paid almost $30.00.

4) STEAK and SHAKE

Annie and I decided to visit the original Steak and Shake on Route 66. It is on 1158 E Saint Louis Street and National in Springfield, MO. It has been around since 1962. We had a great experience here and the CAR HOP who took our order was very interested in our food lifestyle. We got 2 cheeseburgers, and 2 un-sweet teas here for under $18.

5) COLLEGE STREET CAFE

This small restaurant is located right on Route 66 at 1622 W College Blvd. Annie and I eat here often because they are very willing to accommodate our food lifestyle. They offer a lot of options including burgers, omelets, and other dishes. The staff is friendly and you get the experience of an old dinner. 

Maybe you can find my signature on the walls.

6) BILLIE GAILS

We have at at this restaurant several times located at 1882 W James River Rd, Ozark MO.  We choose this restaurant when we go out with our relatives because we are Keto and Carnivore, and we have one Vegetarian as well. The menu and restaurant offers solutions to all these issues.

7) DICKEY'S BBQ

We love this BBQ restaurant we have had a good experience every time. Located at 1360 E Republic Road they offer ordering meat by itself. It is medium in expense we usually end up spending around $50.

8) TA TRAVEL CENTER

Annie love to make trips out to this TA. It has an interesting history. There is a very large pyramid with miles to various cities on the property. Also the TA is provided with the meat from a local rancher.  The other TA Truck stops do not cook the food on location this is the only one that still does it. Annie and I usually go out and get the Brisket currently at $25 per pound, but sometimes I will also get the Ribs that run about $15 for half rack and $30 for a full rack. The Ta is located at exit 48 on I-44 or at 1501 E Mount Vernon Blvd, Mount Vernon MO.

Some of these places may use seed oils as well.
