MIcheal's Card Collection Company ( How much is my Pokemon Card worth and what about Fakes ? )
MICHEAL'S CARD COLLECTION COMPANY
Welcome everyone it is Feb 2026 and my company has been Selling and Buying and trading cards since 2023. I have been an avid collector for over 25 years.
I have a small company in SPRINGFIELD and NIXA MO.
People seem to think that there is no value in collecting cards but they are incorrect. I am sure when the Pokemon franchise came to America in 1999 it had no idea the company would become a multi million dollar company.
ABOUT THE POKEMON HISTORY AS A COMPANY:
Today the company is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures.
The Pokemon brand and company today is worth an estimated 150 billion dollars, and average revenue of sales is estimated at over 10 billion dollars.
HOW MANY POKEMON CARDS ARE THERE ?
As of 2026 there is an estimated 18,500 English Pokemon cards that have been released, and that number has grown annually by 1.000 to 1.500.
Adding in Japanese cards , promotional, and specialty cards they add up to over 35,000.
As of 2025 75 billion Pokemon Cards have been printed.
Since 2020 the cards saw an increase of 60 percent in production.
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY CARD IS WORTH MONEY?
Originally I never really thought about Pokemon Cards as an asset or the cards would be worth a lot of money. I started collecting with my daughter at a young age as something fun to do with her. Skipping to today many people collect cards for the value and many people seek cards as a way to make money.
It was really set on fire when Logan Paul a blogger, podcaster, entertainer that really set the world on fire when he bought a graded PSA 10 graded card Pikachu Illustrator card for 5.2 million dollars and recently sold it at auction for 16.5 million.e top company is called PSA
A company called TCG is the main source that almost everyone uses to see the value of a card. I also personally like another company called PRICE CHARTING.
RAW VALUE vs GRADED VALUE:
A raw card is a card that has not been evaluated and graded by a professional grading company. The grading company examines the cards and issues a grade from 1 to 10. (1 is the worst and 10 is the best.)
The top grading company is called PSA.
However there are more companies getting into grading including CGC CARDS, SGC, and BGS. Grading cards adds value to the cards but it does not include the cost to mail them, grade them, and it takes companies a long time to get the grading done.
So you could be sitting and waiting a long time to get a card graded.
However the world of RAW vs GRADED is pretty extreme a Raw card may only be worth a few dollars whereas a top 10 graded card could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Also there are many companies that sell GRADED CARDS including auctions like Arena and ALT.
FAKE CARDS OR WHAT IS BEING DUBBED FAN FAIR CARDS:
As with anything popular companies begin to manufacture KNOCKOFFS. Over the years POKEMON CARDS are highly produced by companies making FAKE or KNOCKOFF CARDS. This makes getting original cards more difficult as there are scammers, and people who sell FAKE and KNOCKOFFS as the real deal.
As a collector I try to teach people about POKEMON CARDS and what to look for in FAKES or KNOCKOFFS.
Pokemon Cards have very specific things on the original cards such as an assigned number. If they are uncommon, common, rare, promo, or specialty. They all have the year on the card. Depending on what year these things can be found in different locations on Pokemon Cards.
Pokemon Cards have elements with very specific colors that attach to each element, and they also have symbols on the cards that attach to these elements.
These are just a few of the things to look for also buying from some one that has a good reputation or has been an established seller, vendor, or collector may save you the trouble of fake or imitation cards.
I value the people that come to me and I love helping and seeing people enjoy the cards and I try my best not to sell any fake or intimation cards but even with my experience and years of collecting I get taken once in a while.
I hope you all come see my locations and vending machines and I hope that we can go over your collection sometime.
Micheal, OWNER
