Welcome to my PODCAST called the OUTLAW PODCAST. After years of doing sports and wrestling the PODCAST has turned to something else. Today I involve much of my own life into the PODCAST. I still love sports and wrestling but times have changed and as a smaller company we are changing as well.
I may still do some sports or pro wrestling shows but at this time I have turned the PODCAST in a new direction. The podcast is about different things I am passionate about and some things I just feel you will find interesting or educational. The Podcast is based on my REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES and KNOWLEDGE so this may help you in your struggles.
As one of my first projects and series I am doing THE OUTLAW SIDE HUSTLE.
If you have a pet or pets you most likely don't think of them as a way to make extra money. However I found some research about pets that makes a case for PETS as a SIDE HUSTLE BUSINESS.
According to outside research these are some interesting facts I found about PETS:
94 million households own at least ONE PET.
In 2024 overall revenue from pets was estimated between 150 to 157 billion dollars.
In 2024 medical (VET) for pets estimated around 41 billion dollars.
In 2024 pet food and treats for pets was estimated at around 67.8 billion dollars.
So how can you turn PETS into a side hustle?
WATCHING PETS FOR PEOPLE ON VACATION:
One service you could offer is to watch PETS during someones vacation. On average you can make from $25 to $100 per day as a PET SITTER. This can vary depending on if you're watching the pet at your home or HOUSE SITTING as well.
This SIDE HUSTLE may require you getting a business license and background checks if you're going to pet sit in someones home.
Maybe you would like to take a walk and make some money offering to walk PETS. You can fetch from $10 to $35 for a 30 minute walk. In some larger cities this is a very popular service.
Pet grooming is a large industry as most people grooming pets make around $23,000 to $27,000 dollars per year. According to outside research experienced groomers can range from $40,000 to $60,000 per year.
Mobile grooming has become a widely popular industry.
This SIDE HUSTLE will require some training in grooming, a business license, insurance, possibly a mobile vehicle, a shop, or somewhere to be able to do the grooming.
Groomers also make money from dog shows.
It does not sound like the best SIDE HUSTLE but there have been a few companies that became very popular and made a lot of money offering this service. Companies are charging $35 to $65 per hour or sometimes a weekly fee to remove pet waste. Several companies reported six figure incomes building a solid client list.
There is a large industry in this area as well. Many people do not have a way to transport pets to the vet appointments, grooming, or even transporting the pets to the new owners. Some of this may fall under grooming or pet sitting as well. However research reported by outside agencies shows that you can make anywhere from $16 to $30 hour transporting pets.
This SIDE HUSTLE may also require a business license, background checks, and a vehicle to transport with.
In discussing PETS we usually think about Dogs or Cats. However people have all kinds of PETS including Birds, Reptiles, and other pets that may require a more specialized type of care.
SELLING PETS OR RE-HOMING PETS:
Another area you could venture into is BREEDING pets and SELLING them to the new owners.
In closing there are many SIDE HUSTLES IN PETS.
