SPRINGFIELD FOOD TRUCKS RESEARCH AND FACTS:

Since moving here in 2020 I have noticed that Springfield is not the most popular place for food trucks. I really have no idea why this is maybe because there are so many fast food restaurants and  regular food outlets in Springfield. Someone told me when I moved here that Springfield was  a city that was used to test fast food chains. I have no idea if that was true or not to this day. I can only go by living here for the past 5 years to tell you my experience .

In 2024 the estimated population including all the outside towns and cities near Springfield was estimated at 496,975, but if you only include Springfield the population was only estimated at 170,576. There are a lot of smaller towns or cities nearby including WIllard, Republic, Battlefield, Nixa, Ozark, and Stafford, 

Though I could not find anyone that had done any research on the number of fast food restaurants in 2024 it was estimated that Springfield has around 800 restaurants including fast food chains.

In my research I was unable to find anyone that reported about FOOD TRUCKS in Springfield in 2024 but it had been reported that around 100 licenses had been issued for FOOD TRUCKS. 

You can't find any research that shows the exact number of operating Food Trucks in the Springfield area.

WHERE CAN YOU FIND FOOD TRUCKS IN THE SPRINGFIELD AREA ?

There is a FOOD TRUCK event held yearly in September at the OZARK FAIR GROUNDS and it is  a free event that features several food trucks, music, beverages, and some vendors. This is usually a popular event and I have gone every year so far.

Places you will find FOOD TRUCKS  in Springfield or nearby places include Fairs, Rodeos, Flea Markets, or Special Events.

HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR FOOD TRUCKS FOR YOU TO FIND:

METRO EATS: 

METRO EATS   located at 2463 W Sunshine street in Springfield MO.

I have not gone to this location but I have driven past it several times.  I could not find a web page but above is a link to the Facebook page. In the description of the place it claims to have up to 12 food trucks and a full service bar.

14 MILL MARKET:  

14 MILL MARKET  located at 203 E Mt Vernon St in Nixa, MO.

I have been to this location but it was not FOOD TRUCKS. However there are 10 restaurants and a full bar at this location. They hold a lot of events and the place is really popular.

FLYING J or PILOT GAS STATION:

FLYING J CENTER #1061 located at 4939 W Chestnut Express Way in Springfield MO.

Thehere are a few trucks located on re is a lot on the corner as you turn into the gas station that usually has a TACO FOOD TRUCK or even sometimes several food trucks that operate on the empty lot.

There are several other locations around Springfield you can find FOOD TRUCKS iI have seen several driving on East or West Kearny Street, also I have seen several on South Glenstone Street in Springfield MO. I also have seen a few trucks located near South Kansas Expressway and Battlefield usually in the business parking lot where the Red Rack Discount store is located.  You can find a few in some other locations as well please see my photos and videos CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS and CLICK HERE FOR VIDEOS.
