Inside/Outside Missouri ( Review on Bubba's BBQ ) The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik
Located at 504 West Bypass in Springfield Missouri
On Sept 18th I decided to try this restaurant called Bubba's BBQ. I had gotten some recommendations from other people I work with and today I finally got some food to go to find out myself if the food was good.
My ticket was 42 dollars, and what I got was 1/2 pound smoked turkey, 1/2 pound of burnt ends, and 1 pound of beef brisket. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly.
Ordering the food was pretty simple the host or cashier was very willing to help me. The price was pretty normal for the food I got but it was when I got home and opened the containers the review really starts.
I never looked in the brown paper sack but I wish I would have. I got these 3 containers each with the meats I had ordered. I decided to try the burnt ends first it is one of my favorites.
The meat was good but I am not really sure it was burnt ends, I say this because a lot of restaurants when you order burnt ends use a part of the meat that is not juicy and fatty. This is not the first time or the last time I will most likely get something that is not burnt ends.
Burnt ends are the part of the brisket that comes from the point ends. It is usually fatty and juicy. I will say the meat was good but I was not really that impressed with the burnt ends.
The Smoked Turkey was in another container and it never even got opened and my wife Annie usually loves smoked turkey. I can't review it because we never ate it it was still in the fridge the next day.
This is where I got really confused when I opened the third container that was to be beef brisket. I have never gotten beef brisket like this. It was shaved like roast beef, It was in the container shaved into smaller strips. I will say the meat again was not bad but I was again not really impressed by the meat.
There was another issue I did have also when I asked about how they smoked the meat tI was told they used a BBQ Reuben to smoke the meat, The cashier could not answer questions about if the BBQ included the use of sugar. Many places use Brown Sugar in BBQ.
The meat was good however I was just impressed.
From all the reviews I had gotten it was a bit disappointing.
I will say I would try it again maybe it was just this time or my expectations from the reviews.
GO AHEAD TRY BUBBA'S
