Inside/Out Missouri (Walking Trails around the Springfield area )

For the past two years on Facebook I have been doing REELS with my two dogs Trixie and Trip.

During these reels we walk and I talk if you would like to find  my reels or join my OUTLAW PODCAST or if you would like to follow INSIDE/OUT MISSOURI.

SPRINGFIELD and the OZARKS is loaded with trails that can be enjoyed by every level of fitness or just for fun and relation.  Here are some of the trails that I have walked myself and recommend.

Springfield Conservation Nature Center Trail Loop:

Located  at 4601 S Nature Center Way, Springfield, MO 65804 this walking trail has different lengths of trails. I have walked both some of the shorter and longer trails and you can enjoy seeing birds, animals, and the lake. Including the Nature Center has  a small inside museum you can tour for free and a bird watching room.

The only thing is I love walking with my dogs Trixie and Trip and this park is NO DOGS ALLOWED so I do not go to this trail very often,

Nathaniel Greene Park Outer Loop:

Located at 2400 S Scenic Ave, Springfield, MO 65807 this walking trail goes around a lake and connects to many other walking trails. It is one of my favorite walking trails to walk with Trixie and Trip. Nearby you have flower gardens, event center, and a Japanese Garden. In the spring and summer you can visit a small butterfly enclosed building. Also on the trail there is a water fountain, and many areas to see turtles on logs.

Lost Hill Park:

Located at 4705 N Farm Rd 151, Springfield, MO 65803. I love this park as well. It has several trails that go along a river. Sometimes the river is dry and other times it is full. There are also some caves, some really cool lookout views. You can run into some wildlife Trixie and Trip and I often walk out on this trail as well.

Frisco Highland Trail:

Springfield Located is at W Kearney St, Springfield, MO 65803. I could not find the official address but you go West on Kearny after the US BYPASS you will see the Springfield Location. This trail is amazing it goes 35 miles from Springfield to Bolivar. You can find all kinds of things on this trail. You can even camp out on the trail in some parts, eat some food, see some history, and if you enjoy a good trail this is it.

I never have completed the entire 35 miles but I have gone to the WIllard location, and Bolivar Locations.

Trixie and Trip and I love this trail and one day plan to complete the entire trail. However we walk to different locations on the trail.

Springfield and areas around Ozark, Republic also have a lot of walking trails.  I mostly choose ones Trixie and Trip and I can enjoy them. Most all the trails allow dogs on leashes.

Get out and enjoy WALKING!
