DId WWE make the right move with fans with the change from USA to Netflix for Monday Night Raw ?

On January 6th 2025 we saw the WWE movie from USA network to Netflix. WWE also made a lot of other changes moving the NXT brand to CW Network and moving Friday Night Smackdown to USA from Fox Network. This year for the company offered changes also WWE being sold to the UFC and the stock moving to TKO.

As of January 10th 2025 the stock was at an all time high of $140.00.

YOU CAN LOOK THE STOCK UP ON THE NYSE UNDER TKO!

In a changing world of streaming companies the WWE chose to move to Netflix however this move does mean WWE Fans must pay a fee to watch MONDAY NIGHT RAW live on Netflix. Though Netflix offers Fans a choice of fees from $7 to $25.

Here is another issue however the USA Network is not offered on many cable or dish networks. So how do you watch PAY PER VIEWS, or how do you watch REPLAYS if you miss a show you like?

Currently the only way to watch PAY PER VIEWS is to pay the full price or through another company called PEACOCK. WWE has an agreement with Peacock that includes showing WWE Pay Per Views.

PEACOCK cost Fans from $8 to $130 per month. You could also watch replays or USA on HULU and the price for fans will be $9 to $100. There are some other apps out there as well that offer the WWE including SLING. Sling runs $45 to $65 per month. You could also talk about some other streaming services called PHILO. I am not sure if they offer USA or the WWE however but if they do the service runs $25 to $30 per month.

So currently you can not watch the WWE on one streaming service you would have to pay for cable that has USA and CW or add NETFLIX to watch Raw,and  PEACOCK to watch Pay Per Views, and if you do not get USA you would need to pay for Sling or Hulu.

My estimate is that it really cost about $65 a month to watch the WWE with NO Cable, and depending on your cable company it is estimated cable runs $85 or more per month, yet you would still need Netflix and Peacock to watch all the WWE programs. This means your paying over $100 per month to watch the WWE.

With food prices on the rise and many other bills that people must pay to live going up you have to ask (Do people to have the extra money to pay for Netflix, Peacock, Hulu or whatever you choose to stream?)

Did WWE possibly make a mistake signing with NETFLIX ?

One thing I really do not understand is why the companies UFC and WWE did not choose to operate a channel offered by themselves. The company could have offered a channel for a fee like Netflix but offer all the shows of both companies, Pay Per Views, movies, and other things to the fans. They could have offered both the WWE and UFC. THis would offer fans a chance to check out both companies.

I was doing SLING, HULU, PEACOCK, and I joined NETFLIX making my monthly bill to watch the WWE around $80 per month. So I had to make some cuts myself. I decided to cut the Sling because it ran $40 per month. With cutting sling however I am unable to watch the NXT or FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN. For me to do this I have to watch replays on Peacock or Hulu.

I am just asking will other fans and people need to follow my lead of losing one or more of the services to save money?

The WWE main base of income was commercials from being on TV, merchandise, and then live events.

If fans start to tap out could the company lose money ?

It also may happen to live events as well as the average ticket in the WWE starts at $20 but for major events like Pay Per Views tickets can be in the thousands of dollars. A Pay Per View called the Royal Rumble is happening on Feb 1st 2025 and the cheapest tickets cost $175.

I  guess all we can do is follow the company and see what happens and we will find out if the company chose the right path and if the fans can afford to pay to watch the WWE.
