WHAT IS AN MLM OR PYRAMID SCHEME:

MLM ( Multi Level Marketing) 

A MLM is a business model where independent distributors sell products/services directly to consumers and earn commissions on down lines.  A MLM is similar to a pyramid scheme however they are legal.  The difference is that an MLM sells products to the public and they do not collect money from recruitment of members. 

PYRAMID SCHEME:

A Pyramid Scheme is an ILLEGAL OPERATION that recruits members instead of selling products. It is considered a form of fraud. How it works is recruitment is a fee and they ask you to recruit more people.

WHAT REPORTS SHOW ABOUT MLM COMPANIES:

There are several documented reports and studies that show making money with a MLM is possible. However the reports also show that at least 99 % of participants in an MLM either lose money or do not make a profit. 

Reports show there is a high risk of loss.

Reports show that MLM companies fall under the Pyramid Scheme and focus on recruitment instead of selling a product or service to the public.

Reports show that MLM companies hide additional expenses and cost as well.

Getting charged for marketing.
