The Dickerson Park Zoo is located next to the Ozark Empire Fair Grounds in Springfield MO. It is open daily 9 AM to 4 PM November to February and 9 AM to 5 PM March to October. Depending on the weather it is open daily.

FREE PARKING:

The Zoo offers free parking but  if another event or something is going on at the fairgrounds parking can be challenging.

ADMISSION COST:

Children 3 to 12 are $14 and Teens and Adults over the age of 13 are $19 

If you're a local you may want to consider a year pass if you're going to visit a lot.

Inside/Out Missouri review on a new company in Springfield Missouri called JUSTBID

                           Recently a new company opens in Springfield, Missouri called Justbid. CLICK HERE TO LINK TO THE WEB PAGE FOR JUSTBID What is JUSTBID ?  It is an ONLINE AUCTION HOUSE.  How does it work? You can sign up online or there also is an APP you can find in PLAYSTORE. You must enter some information and have a way to pay for the merchandise you buy. After that you can scroll through the web page or app and bid on items. To pick up your items you do need the app and  you will need to go pickup at the warehouse located in Springfield  at 2965 E Jean Street.  The hours for pick ups are listed on the web page.  Once you get to the location, you go into the doors and find the desk.You will scan a barcode at the desk and staff will bring your items to you. Inside/Out Missouri Christmas Dinner at a TA TRUCK STOP

Annie and I decided to spend our Christmas dinner at this TA Truck Stop located at 1501 E Mount Vernon Blvd, Mount Vernon MO. There is a real interesting story with this particular TA Truck Stop. It has a 66 foot pyramid type monument that has miles to cities and towns.  This is considered a one stop as part of the Route 66 road trip from Joplin to Saint Louis on the I-44 freeway. As the story goes the owners built a replica of the stone monument that was part of the Ozark Trail Obelisks.  However in building the exact replica of the 66 foot monument it has incorrect directions on the monument. It is something to see and to hear the story behind even adds more to the fire.  So the story goes that TA on Christmas did a buffet for the truck drivers so Annie and I had to investigate.
