Outlaw Review on the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium

                              On Nov 11th 2023 Annie and visited the Zoo in Kansas City.

It was well worth the 3 hour ride to and from Kansas City to go to the Zoo and Aquarium. If you want to have a good experience and a fun day out this Zoo and Aquarium can provide you just that.

I do recommend buying the tickets on line at the link above currently the Aquarium is only by reservation only. The cost of the Zoo and Aquarium was only $20 for each of so a total of $40.

Even with adding $30 in gas for the drive the cost of the Zoo and Aquarium is less than Silver Dollar City or Pro Bass Aquarium. At a cost of %70 for the trip plus a $30 meal we had on the way. We still only spent $100.00. The Pro Bass aquarium in Springfield an adult ticket is $75.00 and it is the same cost for Silver Dollar City. I thought this was a much better value.

There also is a Zoo on Springfield called the DICKERSON ZOO, This Zoo charges $17 for Adult entrance and we have enjoyed this zoo as well but they do not have an aquarium. However it is a great zoo and I highly recommend this zoo if you do not want to drive 6 hours from and to Kansas City.

The zoo was decorated for Christmas with all kinds of Christmas and other decorations. I really enjoyed the Australia part of the zoo. The zoo allows the kangaroos to roam free in the area and it is quite an experience

My second favorite part was the STRING RAY bay where as you can actually touch stingrays and I even go to pet a small shark..

I was a little disappointed that the zoo did not have many tigers or lions or big cats.

Anne and I walked quite a bit as well you can get your exercise steps in for sure. We took a small break at the Elephant enclosure and got an up front view of the elephants.

The zoo just added a new aquarium and it is AMAZING. It is a bit small but the experience is just WOW is all I can say. Annie got to see her favorite animal SEA TURTLE and I got to see mine SHARKS.

Currently you have to make a reservation to see the aquarium you can do that online and I am not sure if you can do this by purchasing tickets at the zoo.
