Inside/Out Missouri ( Missouri speed changes, and will we no longer be doing Day Light Savings Time
WELCOME TO INSIDE/OUT MISSOURI
Annie and I started this idea many years ago we wanted to do a show about TRAVELING!
The idea was pretty simple like many shows we saw on YOUTUBE .
We wanted to bring you VIDEOS, BLOGS,REVIEWS, and share our adventures with you.
We did start the project you can find the link to YOUTUBE HERE and to our FACEBOOK HERE.
I have always kinda gone against the grain with anything I do, but this project got pushed to the side. We did videos, we blogged, we brought you some pretty cool adventures but we really never pushed the envelopes to see how far it could go.
MISSOURI PASSES SPEED INCREASE IN JULY 2026:
On August 28th 2026 be ready Missouri as the State has approved a speed increase of 5 mph on most Freeways. It is going to be confusing because some of the rural and urban freeways will remain at the same speed limit,
Though it seems the speed limit change is only going to apply to specific freeways mostly in Springfield, Kansas City, and Saint Louis areas.
The State is applying the new speed limits to freeways 10 miles or more in length and with 4 lanes of traffic. This would mean in the Springfield area freeways like I-44 or I-60 or I-65 could see the speed limit increase.
Though cities, towns, and villages can approve speed limits within the boundaries of the area they control each city, town or village still has to get the final approval from the Missouri Dept of Transportation to change speed limits.
Another concern over speed limit increases is accidents at faster speeds.
The facts and records show from case studies the accidents at a higher speed lead to more severe injuries and even fatalities. It also shows that traffic could be impacted due to the variable speed of the traffic and vehicles.

The GOVERNMENT is working on passing laws to abolish DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME CHANGE:
For as long as I can recall we have been moving clocks back 1 hour and returning it ahead 1 hour,
The idea of the time change became because of the war, It was used by the manufacturing companies of coal . The use of longer natural light leads to less energy and more fuel production for the war efforts during both World War 1 and World War 2.
Many people believe the time change was created for farming but it was created from the war.
The time change started in 1918 in the USA, Many other countries adopted the time change as well.
Following the end of World War 1 many other countries abolished the idea but it was brought back in World War 2.
In 1966 the months that the time change would happen and
was set for the moving of the clocks it was the last Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October.
In 2005 however under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 those dates changed to the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November.
Hawaii and Arizona opted not to participate in the time change but all the other States participated.
Why do they want to get rid of the time change?
According to research ( not done by me or verified by me) shows that it actually does not save any energy. Also it is argued that changing the clocks leads to sleeping issues that relate to diseases like heart attacks, strokes, plus workplace injuries, and motor vehicle accidents.
It has not been determined when the change would start if the Government passed laws to change the current laws, However the next time change would happen on the FIRST SUNDAY IN NOVEMBER 2026.
