WHAT YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO COLLECT and PRICE POKEMON CARDS
THE HISTORY OF POKEMON CARDS:
Pokemon has become very popular in America with all ages in CARD COLLECTION, Movies, TV Shows, Toys, Video Games, and other merchandise. The card game was originally made in Japan and released in October 1999. It hit America and has been growing ever since. Since 1999 Pokemon has printed over 75 billion cards. Collecting the cards has grown over time and millions of people to this day collect The Pokemon Cards.
THE BASICS OF THE POKEMON CARD:
Pokemon Cards all have something in common since the release in 1999. A Pokemon Card will have some basic information on every card: It will have a year on the card, it will have a SYMBOL on the card telling you if it is Common, Un-Common, or Rare. There are also secret rare cards, promo cards. Cards also have a number assigned to every card printed.
YOU CAN FIND THIS INFORMATION ON THE BOTTOM LEFT OR RIGHT OF THE CARD:
CARD SERIES: Each card is assigned a number EXAMPLE 1/100. This number tells you the number of the card and how many printed per series of that card. This is also a good way to search cards on line or price cards.
COMMON CARDS: Have a small Circle next to the card series number.
UN-COMMON CARDS: Have a small Diamond shape next to the card series number.
RARE CARDS: Have a star, or double or triple stars shape next to the card series number.
PROMO CARDS: Usually considered Rare Cards they do have one of the Symbols above and a card series number assigned to them.
HOW MUCH IS A POKEMON CARD WORTH:
Due to the popularity of collecting the cards prices and value on cards can range from $1 to millions of dollars. It all depends on the card. This has also added to the popularity of collecting cards, selling cards, and trading cards. Today you can look up places like EBAY,, and other companies that sell cards. However the most trusted web page for prices is called TCGPLAYER.
TCG PLAYER is the official web page for POKEMON Cards I also like PRICE CHARTING.
To look up a card you can enter the name of the card, series number, and year and most likely you will find it. Also due to technology today you can download APP from companies that can scan a card and show you the value of that card.
