Keto and Healthy Living ( Can I do Keto while I am Pregnant or trying to get Pregnant) by The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

Welcome to my blog about our Keto Lifestyle and Healthy Living.

Annie and I are currently in our 3rd year of our Keto lifestyle. We started learning about nutrition as well and have educated ourselves in the Life of Keto and Healthy Living. My blog is about helping you be happy and healthy just through the food you eat!

However you should always consult a HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL for YOUR HEALTH ISSUES!

Keto and Pregnancy or Healthy Living and Pregnancy:

Keto is a life where you eat foods high in fats and cut sugars and carbs and this cuases the body to burn fat from Ketones. Keto has been researched and studied and has been proven to be good for a lot of different reasons. It has been directly related to helping with dibetes, high blood pressure, heart condtions, some cancers, mental functions, and a lot of other medical illness.

However Keto cuts carbs and it is recommended that while pregnant women eat brightly colored fruits and veggies. Minerals and Vitiams like Iron and Folate is recommended for the baby. Also many veggies have Fiber and the lack of Fiber doing Keto may cuase bathroom issues.

A Healthy Living Life Style may provide a better path during Pregancy or before due to these reasons above. A Healthy Living LifeStyle can include some of the aspects of Keto but open up more foods that may benefit both you and your baby.

There has not been any real studies or research done except with mice.

There is no evidence that suggest or studies that show Keto helps or hurts fertility.

Unfortunily Keto may not be the best option during a pregancy however eating Healthy is!

HERE ARE 13 FOODS RECOMMENDED TO EAT DURING A PREGANCY:

Dairy, Legums, Sweet Potatoes, Salmon, Eggs, Leafy Greens, Lean Meat, Berries, Whole Grains, Avacados, Dried Fruit, Fish Liver Oil,  and Water.

Some of these foods can be used in Keto as well but some are not part of the Keto Lifestyle.

You should try to avoid added sugars, salt, plus limit grains and starches.

Also as I pointed out research and study and talk about your needs and your new baby needs to a health care provider.

The better foods you provide will allow you and your baby to be happy and healthy!
