CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT MONEY ?
Recently I encountered another blog about 12 people who managed to escape the modern world and live with no money.
So I started to think could my family do that LIVE WITHOUT MONEY?
Though back in 2016 we did manage to go to a CASH LIFE STYLE you can read some of my older blogs on the subject. A short recap however in 2015 we had massive debt, loans, and a sinking ship.
In 2016 we managed to eliminate all of this debt and start our feet new and we vowed not to make the same mistakes over again.
Unfortunately I will tell you a few people are still owed money I wish we could pay them back but it just is not possible. Sometimes things have to just hit rock bottom before you can rise up from the ashes.
From 2016 to 2017 we lived with no debt, no loans however in early 2017 our only vehicle blew the engine. We had managed to save some money but not enough to buy a decent vehicle.
So in 2017 I did take out an Auto loan
However everything else was normal CASH LIFE STYLE we only lived off the money we earned through SELF EMPLOYMENT or WORKING. Through 2019 we only payed the car payments and everything else was cash.
COULD MY FAMILY LIVE WITHOUT MONEY AND COULD YOU?
The steps my family took just to live a CASH STYLE was a huge change in our life style. Over the years we have grown to appreciate life without debt with the exception of the vehicle loan. Once it is paid off (and we are really close on that) we will go back to completely no loans, no credit, and no debt.
However to live without money completely I just do not think it would be possible for my family.
#I ISSUE TRANSPORTATION:
In thinking we live about 15 miles outside of town, and I have to work a full time job. There are no buses or services I could use, and we do not have any neighbors or co workers that work at my company that live even close to us that I would be able to barter with. Also getting to and from any store is also just as hard the nearest small store is about 2 miles away. We could walk to the Mini Mart at the casino near our house but would they barter services?
#2 ISSUE NO SERVICES TO BARTER WITH:
It may not be out of the question but there are no farms in this area for food, milk, meat or anything even remotely close. Even if we could barter services for working on the farms or something else there just are none near us. The closest dairy farm is 20 miles away.
The Casino and some small restaurants and country store may be willing to barter working for food possibly.
Most likely however not probable due to laws about paying employees,
In closing the only way I would see it possible to completely live without money would to have a farm, grow your own food, and have a water and sewer system on the property that the State, City and County would approve of.
The people I mentioned in the article mostly did exactly that using bartering for some things, but mostly had property where they grew food, raised animals for milk and meat, and made a water and sewer systems to sustain them.
Then you ask what about going back in history to a time where as money did not exist.
It is really simple the times have changed back than we did not have any type of government or laws or regulations. Native American Indians farmed the land, hunted the meat, and made mall the clothing, jewelry, and weapons they needed before the land was settled.
Even back in the day after the country started growth many communities bartered and traded services and worked together to establish cash fee societies. However that was than and this is today.
Just for an EXPERIMENT see if you can go just one day without MONEY.
